Romans 12:18

When a man or woman marries, they marry not just their partner, but also into an existing family. But loving a person does not always translate into loving their hard-to-get-along-with in-laws. Take time to appreciate your spouses family, even if you have very little in common with them. You both love the same person and that’s enough common ground to make compromise (if necessary) worthwhile.

A little Prayer for you:

God i pray for my spouses extended family. They are now part of my family too. Help me to see their many assets and set aside their faults. I pray for peace to prevail with all members of my family, including my biological family. For certain ones, i pray for a softening of heart toward you and toward me. I pray for an end to any strife or misunderstanding. As I do what i can to live peaceably, Lord, I pray you will work in any potentially dangerous areas that are unknown to me. Create a deeper family bond, Lord, between me and my spouses family. Amen.
